Board Member

Tyrique Dunn, a proud native of Athens, Georgia, has dedicated his life to serving youth and strengthening communities. A 2021 graduate of Winston-Salem State University, Tyrique earned his bachelor’s degree while serving as a scholarship percussionist in the renowned Red Sea of Sound Marching Band. He continued his academic journey by earning a Master of Sport Management from the University of Kansas in 2023.

 

Tyrique’s passion for youth development began at an early age and has shaped every stage of his professional career. Throughout his journey, he has led initiatives focused on mentorship, education, violence prevention, and community engagement. Most notably, he led the Delinquency Prevention Initiatives in Athens-Clarke County, bringing together schools, nonprofits, law enforcement, local government, and community organizations to address the root causes of youth delinquency. Through strategic partnerships and innovative programming, he helped expand access to educational opportunities, family resources, workforce development, and positive youth engagement, making a lasting impact on thousands of young people and families throughout the community.

 

Today, Tyrique serves as a Program Manager, where he oversees youth-focused programs that empower young people through education, service, and leadership development. His work centers on creating meaningful opportunities for youth to succeed while strengthening the communities they serve.

 

Whether leading community initiatives, mentoring the next generation, or serving in nonprofit leadership, Tyrique remains committed to making a lasting difference through service, collaboration, and purpose-driven leadership.
